Why Therapy?
There are many different responses to the question “why therapy?”—problems you feel are affecting your ability to live the life you want, struggling with relationships, wanting to understand yourself better—There is no wrong answer. Whatever your troubles or goals are, I am here to help you move towards the life you want to live. Maybe you are suffering from anxiety or depression. You might be struggling with symptoms related to trauma or you may be facing family and difficult life transitions. Whatever the reason—asking for help is the first courageous step. In the words of Brene Brown, “truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.”
Does Therapy Work?
As the stigma around mental health care and therapy decreases, many people are finding healing and growth in therapy. With any treatment there are a variety of responses to it. Some people heal quickly, others slowly, and some struggle to find a therapist and approach that works for them. As your therapist I will do my best to provide a range of integrated approaches to meet your needs as an individual. I am committed to finding resources and techniques that work for you.
Working together
The relationship between therapist and client is an important relationship. Often, a lot of healing can happen just through the means of a safe and supportive relationship. My goal is to support you in moving forward at your own pace and in the direction of your choice. For our journey, you will choose the destination I will act as GPS and help us get there.
To see if we might fit well together, schedule a free 15-minute consultation today. If I am not the counselor for you, I will help you find someone that can give you the help you need and deserve.
